Sahih al-Bukhari 2377 (Book 42, Hadith 25) #2274
Patience in Giving Preference

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was not able to give the Ansar a portion of Bahrain, so he told them to be patient and that they would see people giving preference to others after him.

Narrated Anas (ra): The Prophet called the Ansar so as to grant them a portion of (the land of) Bahrain. They said, "O Allah's Messenger ! If you grant this to is, write a similar document on our Quraish (emigrant) brothers". But the Prophet did not have enough grants and he said: "After me you will see the people giving preference (to others), so be patient till you meet me".

This hadith is about patience and giving preference. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was not able to give the Ansar a portion of Bahrain, so he told them to be patient and that they would see people giving preference to others after him. This teaches us that we should have patience when it comes to matters of justice and fairness, even if we don't get what we want right away. We should also remember that Allah will always reward us for our patience in the end. Additionally, this hadith reminds us that it is important for us as Muslims to treat each other with respect and fairness by not showing favoritism or bias towards certain groups or individuals over others.
