Prohibitions of Fasting, Clothing & Praying

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) forbade fasting on two days, wearing a single garment that exposes private parts, sitting with legs drawn up and wrapped in one's garment, and praying at two hours after the Fajr prayer and after the Asr prayer.

Narrated Abu Sa’id Al Khudri : The Messenger of Allah forbade fasting on two days, al-Fitr (breaking the fast of Ramadan) and al-Adha (the day of sacrifice), and wearing a tight single garment the raising of which discloses private parts, and sitting with one's legs drawn up and wrapped in one's garment, and forbade praying at two hours, after the Fajr prayer and after the Asr prayer.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمَيْنِ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الأَضْحَى وَعَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَأَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ وَعَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي سَاعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibitions of certain activities as instructed by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He prohibited fasting on two days which are al-Fitr and al-Adha. He also prohibited wearing a single garment that exposes private parts as well as sitting with legs drawn up and wrapped in one's garment. Lastly, he forbade praying at two hours after the Fajr prayer and after the Asr prayer. These instructions were given to ensure people practice modesty in their daily lives while also maintaining respect for religious practices such as fasting or praying.
