EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas, who was a companion of Prophet Muhammad. It states that the verse concerning the payment of ransom stands valid for pregnant and nursing women. This means that if a woman is pregnant or nursing, she can be compensated with money instead of having to perform certain religious obligations such as fasting or Hajj pilgrimage. This hadith teaches us that we should be considerate towards those who are unable to fulfill their religious obligations due to physical limitations, and provide them with an alternative way to make up for it.
