Time Management and Accountability

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) divided his time equally and asked Allah not to blame him for things he could not control.

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: The Messenger of Allah used to divide his time equally and said: O Allah, this is my division concerning what I control, so do not blame me concerning what You control and I do not. Abu Dawud said: By it meant the heart.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْخَطْمِيِّ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَقْسِمُ فَيَعْدِلُ وَيَقُولُ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا قَسْمِي فِيمَا أَمْلِكُ فَلاَ تَلُمْنِي فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ وَلاَ أَمْلِكُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ يَعْنِي الْقَلْبَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of managing one's time wisely. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH taught us that we should divide our time between what we can control and what we cannot. He also taught us to be accountable for our actions, as Allah will hold us responsible for them. We should strive to use our time in a way that is beneficial to ourselves and others, so that when it comes time for accountability, we are prepared. This hadith also teaches us the importance of being mindful of how much control we have over certain aspects of our lives, as well as how much responsibility lies with Allah alone.
