SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was seen throwing pebbles on the day of sacrifice in the morning and afternoon.

Narrated Jabir : I saw the Messenger of Allah throwing pebbles on the day of sacrifice while on his riding beast in the forenoon, and next when the sun had passed the meridian.

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform religious duties and obligations towards Allah with dedication and commitment .

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of sacrifice, which is known as Qurbani in Arabic, it is a Wajib or obligatory act for Muslims to throw pebbles at three pillars. This ritual is done to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail for Allah's sake. It symbolizes that we are willing to give up our most beloved possessions for Allah's sake. This hadith shows us that even though Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was a leader and a role model, he still performed this ritual himself instead of delegating it to someone else. This teaches us that no matter how important we may be, we should never forget our religious duties and obligations towards Allah.
