QUICK LESSONS:
Follow religious teachings carefully & authentically as set forth by Allah & His Messenger.

EXPLANATIONS:
During the pilgrimage of Hajj, Muslims are required to perform certain rituals and one of them is throwing stones at three pillars called Jamarah. This hadith tells us that even though it was a ritual for pilgrims to throw stones at these pillars, the Prophet Muhammad did not stand near them. This teaches us that we should be careful in following religious rituals and traditions as they may have been added later on by people and may not be part of what was originally taught by Allah or His Messenger. We should always make sure to follow only those teachings which are authentic and approved by Allah and His Messenger.
