The Speech of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) at Mina

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) gave a speech to the people at Mina during the tashriq days.

Ibn AbuNajih reported from his father on the authority of two men from Banu Bakr who said: We saw the Messenger of Allah addressing (the people) in the middle of the tashriq days when we were staying near his mount. This is the address of the Messenger of Allah which he gave at Mina.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful towards your religious duties; take advantage of every opportunity to remind others about their religious obligations; be aware and conscious about your actions all times regardless if you are performing an important task or not etc..

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a speech that was given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ at Mina during the tashriq days. Tashriq days are three consecutive days after Eid al-Adha, which are 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul Hijjah. During these three days, Muslims perform certain rituals such as sacrificing animals and throwing stones at Jamarat in order to remember Ibrahim's sacrifice for Allah SWT. In this hadith, it is mentioned that two men from Banu Bakr saw Prophet Muhammad ﷺ giving a speech in the middle of these three days when they were staying near his mount. This shows us how important it was for him to remind people about their duties towards Allah SWT and how he used every opportunity to do so even when he was performing Hajj himself. It also teaches us that we should always be mindful of our duties towards Allah SWT no matter what situation we are in or what task we are performing.
