Taking Time to Understand the Qur'an

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that it is important to take the time to understand the Qur'an, and not rush through it.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: The Prophet said: He who recites the Qur'an in a period less than three days does not understand it.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلاَءِ، يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو - قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ لاَ يَفْقَهُ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلاَثٍ
