Prohibiting Habal-al-Habala

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of camels on the basis of Habal-al-Habala, which is when a camel is to be delivered to the buyer after the she-camel gives birth.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The people used to sell camels on the basis of Habal-al-Habala. The Prophet forbade such sale. Nafi' explained Habal-al-Habala by saying".The camel is to be delivered to the buyer after the she-camel gives birth".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about a practice called Habal al Habala, which was a type of sale that involved camels. In this type of sale, it was agreed upon that once the female camel gave birth, then it would be delivered to its buyer. However, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forbade this kind of sale and instead encouraged people to sell their camels in other ways. This hadith teaches us that we should not engage in any kind of transaction or agreement that involves something unethical or unfair. We should always strive for fairness and justice in our dealings with others and ensure that all parties involved are treated fairly and justly. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us about being honest in our transactions with others and not taking advantage of them by making agreements or deals that are not beneficial for both parties involved.
