Sunan Abi Dawud 898 (Book 2, Hadith 508) #21189
The Prophet's Wide Prostration

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) had a very wide prostration, so much so that even a lamb could pass under his arms.

Maimunah said: When the Prophet prostrated himself, he kept his arms so far away from his sides that if a lamb had wanted to pass under his arms, it could have done so.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray with humility and devotion towards Allah

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) prayer and how he would prostrate himself in such a way that if a lamb wanted to pass under his arms, it could have done so. This shows us the extent of humility and submission to Allah that the Prophet showed during prayer. He was completely devoted to Allah and this is something we should strive for as well when we pray. We should be humble and sincere in our prayers, just like the Prophet was.

The importance of prayer is also highlighted in this hadith as it shows us how devoted the Prophet was to praying five times daily despite all his other responsibilities. It teaches us that no matter what else we are doing or how busy our lives may be, we must always make time for prayer as it is an essential part of being Muslim.
