QUICK LESSONS:
Be brief when leading prayers
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of being considerate when leading prayer. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when one leads the people in prayer, they should be brief and mindful of those who are sick, elderly or needy. This means that if there are people present who may not be able to stand for a long period of time due to their age or health condition, then the leader should shorten their prayers so as not to cause them any discomfort. Additionally, if there are people present who may not have enough money to buy food or clothing for themselves and their families, then the leader should also shorten their prayers so as not to take away from time they could use for earning money. By being mindful of these considerations during prayer times, we can ensure that everyone is able to benefit from it without feeling excluded or uncomfortable.
