Follow traditions passed down from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with mindfulness during prayer

This hadith discusses the practice of 'Ata' in prayer. Ibn Juraij said that he often saw 'Ata praying while letting his garment trail. Abu Dawud commented on this saying that this weakens the tradition narrated by Abu Hurairah. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our practices during prayer as they can weaken traditions passed down from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. We should strive to follow these traditions as closely as possible, so we can gain maximum reward from Allah SWT for our prayers.
