QUICK LESSONS:
Use something more respectful such as a prayer mat or rug when praying .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known for his exemplary behavior and teachings. He taught us many things about how to live our lives in the best way possible. One of these teachings is that we should not pray on sheets of cloth or quilts. This is because it is disrespectful to Allah and shows a lack of humility when praying. We should instead use something more respectful such as a prayer mat or rug when praying so that we can show our respect for Allah while also being comfortable during prayer. Additionally, this hadith teaches us the importance of questioning things if we are unsure about them, as 'Ubaid allah's father did in this case by doubting the practice before confirming it with A'ishah.
