Sunan Abi Dawud 623 (Book 2, Hadith 233) #20914
Prostration Etiquette

SUMMARY: One should not raise their head while the Imam is prostrating, as Allah may change their head or face into a donkey's.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah as saying; Does he who raises his head while the Imam is prostrating not fear that Allah may change his head into a donkey’s or his face into a donkey’s face.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Abu Hurairah warns us of the importance of following proper etiquette during prayer. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is reminding us that we should not raise our heads while the Imam is prostrating, as Allah may change our head or face into a donkey's if we do so. We must remember to be respectful and humble in prayer, and to follow the instructions of the Imam carefully. It is important to remember that Allah sees all and knows all, so it is essential that we remain mindful of His presence at all times.

This hadith also teaches us about fear - specifically fear of Allah - which can help keep us on track when it comes to following His commands and avoiding sinning against Him. We must always strive to be mindful of His greatness and power, so that we can stay away from any actions which would displease Him.
