Permissibility of Nabidh Al-Bukhtuj

SUMMARY: Nabidh Al-Bukhtuj is permissible.

It was narrated that Ibrahim said: "There is nothing wrong with Nabidh Al-Bukhtuj".
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ بِنَبِيذِ الْبُخْتُجِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Ibrahim and it states that there is nothing wrong with consuming a type of drink called Nabidh Al-Bukhtuj. This type of drink is made by soaking dates or raisins in water for a period of time and then drinking it. It has been deemed permissible to consume this type of drink according to the teachings found in this hadith. The values taught through this hadith are moderation and temperance as well as the importance of following Islamic teachings when it comes to food and drinks. It also teaches us that we should not be wasteful with our resources but instead use them wisely and responsibly.
