The Strength of Nabidh

SUMMARY: It is not advisable to mix the dregs of Nabidh with new Nabidh as it will make it too strong.

It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyib that: He disliked putting the dregs of Nabidh into (new) Nabidh lest it become strong because of the dregs.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful and cautious when combining things together

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the strength of a beverage called Nābīdh. It was narrated by Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyib that he disliked putting the dregs of Nābīdh into new Nābīdh lest it become too strong because of the dregs. The lesson here is that one should be careful when mixing things together, as they can become too powerful or intense if done in excess. For example, if you mix two different types of food together, they may end up tasting very different than either one alone. Similarly, if you mix two different types of drinks together, they may end up being much stronger than either one alone. Therefore, this hadith teaches us to be mindful and cautious when combining things together so that we don't end up with something unexpected or unpleasant.
