The Prohibition of Intoxicants

SUMMARY: Intoxicants are forbidden.

It was narrated that Makhul said: "Every intoxicant is unlawful".
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، عَنْ بُرْدٍ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، قَالَ كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of intoxicants. It was narrated by Makhul that every intoxicant is unlawful and forbidden. This means that any type of substance or drink that causes intoxication or drunkenness is not allowed in Islam. Alcohol and drugs are two examples of intoxicants which are strictly prohibited in Islam as they can lead to many negative consequences such as addiction, health problems, and even death. Therefore it is important for Muslims to stay away from these substances and instead focus on leading a healthy lifestyle with activities such as prayer, fasting, charity work etc., which will bring them closer to Allah SWT.
