This hadith speaks about the permissibility of drinking from a container that has been partially consumed. The narrator, Sa’eed bin Al-Musayyab, reported that Abu Ad-Darda’ used to drink from containers in which two thirds had gone and one third was left. This indicates that it is permissible to consume beverages or food items even if they have already been partially consumed by someone else. This hadith teaches us the importance of not wasting food and drinks, as well as being mindful of our consumption habits. We should be conscious about how much we are consuming and not waste any resources unnecessarily.
