Avoid intoxication .

This hadith explains that the intoxicating drink known as khamr is made from five ingredients. These ingredients are dates, wheat, barley, honey and grapes. It is important to note that these items can be used to make other things as well; however when combined in a certain way they can create an intoxicating drink known as khamr. This hadith serves as a reminder for us to stay away from such drinks because it can lead to many negative consequences. We should also remember that even though these items may not be used for the purpose of making khamr they should still be consumed in moderation so we do not overindulge in them either.
