Obey Allah's orders by staying away from anything that causes intoxication .

This hadith is about the prohibition of intoxicating drinks or Khamr in Arabic. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar that he heard Umar delivering a Khutbah on the Minbar of Al-Madinah and he said that on the day when Allah prohibited Khamr, it was made from five things which are grapes, dates, honey, wheat and barley. This means that any drink which is made from these five ingredients can be considered as an intoxicating drink or Khamr. The main idea behind this hadith is to remind us to stay away from anything that can cause intoxication as it can lead to bad consequences such as loss of control over one's mind and body. We should also remember not to consume any drinks which are made with these ingredients so we don't fall into sinning against Allah's orders.
