Prohibited Food Combinations

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) forbade mixing certain foods together.

Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW forbade mixing Al-Busr and raisins, and Al-Busr and dried dates, and he said: 'Soak each one of them on its own'."
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَ الْبُسْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ وَالْبُسْرُ وَالتَّمْرُ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ انْبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us that certain food combinations should not be mixed together. Specifically, he prohibited the combination of Al-Busr and raisins, and Al-Busr and dried dates. He said that each one of these foods should be soaked on its own. This hadith teaches us to respect the rules set by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). We must follow his teachings in order to live a life according to Islam. It is important for us to remember that we are responsible for our actions and must strive to do what is right in order to please Allah SWT.
