QUICK LESSONS:
Respect other people's property, Avoid taking what does not belong to you without permission

EXPLANATIONS:
In Islam, stealing is considered a major sin and it has serious consequences. According to this hadith, narrated by Ayman, if someone is found guilty of stealing then their hand should be cut off as punishment. This punishment was set at the time of Prophet Muhammad PBUH when a shield cost one Dinar or ten Dirhams. This shows that Islam takes theft very seriously and it should be avoided at all costs. It also teaches us that we must respect other people's property and not take what does not belong to us without permission.
