Do not steal as there are serious consequences; Ask Allah for forgiveness; Repent your actions by returning what you took or making up for it in some way; Obey laws set forth by Prophet Muhammad PBUH; Respect other people's property; Be honest with yourself & others; Uphold justice & truthfulness at all times .

This hadith is about the consequences of stealing. It tells us that if someone steals something they will be punished for it. In this case, the punishment was to have their hand cut off. However, even after being caught and punished for stealing something, people can still ask for forgiveness from Allah and repent their actions by offering to return what they stole. This teaches us that we should not steal because there are serious consequences if we do so and even if we are caught there is still hope in asking Allah for forgiveness and repenting our actions by returning what we took or making up for it in some way.
