EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the idea that no one is responsible for the sins of another. It was narrated by Tha’labah bin Zahdam, who reported that some people from Banu Tha’labah came to the Prophet Muhammad when he was delivering a speech and a man said that they were responsible for killing someone. The Prophet Muhammad responded by saying “No soul is affected by the sin of another”, meaning that no one should be held accountable or punished for something they did not do themselves. This hadith teaches us an important lesson about responsibility and accountability; we are only responsible for our own actions and should not be judged or blamed based on what others have done. We must take ownership of our own mistakes and strive to make better choices in order to lead a life of righteousness and justice.
