The Rewards of Being Easygoing in Business

SUMMARY: A man was admitted to paradise for being easygoing in buying and selling, paying off debts and asking for repayment.

It was narrated that 'Uthman bin 'Affan said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, admitted to paradise a man who was easygoing in buying and selling, in paying off debts and asking for repayment"'. (Sahaih)
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ أَدْخَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ رَجُلاً كَانَ سَهْلاً مُشْتَرِيًا وَبَائِعًا وَقَاضِيًا وَمُقْتَضِيًا الْجَنَّةَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rewards of being easygoing in business. It was narrated by Uthman bin Affan that the Messenger of Allah said that Allah admitted a man to paradise who was easy going when it came to buying and selling, paying off debts, and asking for repayment. This hadith teaches us that we should be generous with our money when it comes to business transactions. We should not be too strict or demanding when it comes to collecting payments or repaying debts. Instead, we should be patient and understanding with others so that we can receive the same treatment from them as well. Furthermore, this hadith also shows us how important it is to have good character traits such as generosity and kindness even when dealing with financial matters since these traits can lead us towards success both in this world and the hereafter.
