The Prophet's Fair Trade

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) weighed and sold a pair of trousers to Abu Safwan before the Hijrah.

It was narrated that Simak bin Harb said: "I heard Abu Safwan say: 'I bought a pair of trousers from the Messenger of Allah before the Hijrah, and he weighed it for me and allowed me"'.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَفْوَانَ، قَالَ بِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ سَرَاوِيلَ قَبْلَ الْهِجْرَةِ فَأَرْجَحَ لِي

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates an incident that happened between the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Safwan. Before the Hijrah, Abu Safwan bought a pair of trousers from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he weighed it for him and allowed him to buy it. This hadith teaches us about fairness in trade, as well as how important it is to be honest in our dealings with others. It also shows us that even though we may not have much money or resources, we should still strive to be fair when dealing with others. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as an example of how Muslims should conduct their business transactions according to Islamic principles such as honesty and fairness.
