Forbidden Transactions between Town and Desert Dwellers

SUMMARY: It is forbidden for a town-dweller to sell something to a desert-dweller, even if they are related.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: "It was forbidden to us for a town-dweller to sell for a desert-dweller, even if he was his father or brother". (Sahih )

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect others regardless of where they live or what their relationship may be.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that it is forbidden for a town-dweller to sell something to a desert-dweller, even if they are related. This means that it is not allowed for someone who lives in the city to buy or sell goods with someone who lives in the desert, no matter how close their relationship may be. The Prophet Muhammad taught this lesson as an example of how people should treat each other with respect and kindness, regardless of where they live or what their relationship may be. He also wanted people to understand that everyone has different needs and wants, so it is important not to take advantage of those differences by taking advantage of one another financially.
