Sunan an-Nasai 4313 (Book 42, Hadith 51) #18846
Eating Animals Slaughtered with a Sharp-Edged Stone

SUMMARY: The Prophet allowed Ibn Safwan to eat two rabbits he had caught, even though he did not have a proper tool to slaughter them.

It was narrated that Ibn Safwan said: "I caught two rabbits but I could not find anything with which to slaughter then, so I slaughtered them with a sharp-edged stone. I asked the Prophet about that and he commanded me to eat them"

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is teaching us that it is permissible to eat animals that have been slaughtered with a sharp-edged stone. This means that if one does not have access to the proper tools for slaughtering an animal, they can still consume it as long as they use something sharp and effective like a stone. This teaches us the importance of being resourceful and making do with what we have in order to fulfill our needs. It also shows us how merciful and understanding the Prophet was towards his followers, allowing them to make do in difficult situations without compromising their faith or beliefs.
