Hunting with Dogs and Mentioning Allah's Name

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised not to eat the game hunted by dogs if one did not mention Allah's name before releasing them.

It was narrated from 'Adiyy bin Hatim that he asked the Messenger of Allah about hunting and he said: "If you release your dog and other dogs over with you have not mentioned the name of Allah join him, then do not eat (what they catch), because you do not know which of them killed it (the game),"

QUICK LESSONS:
Rememberance of God/Allah before doing any task

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Adiyy bin Hatim speaks about hunting with dogs. He asked the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about it and was advised that if one releases their dog or other dogs without mentioning Allah’s name, then they should not eat what they catch. This is because it is unclear which of the dogs killed the game. This hadith teaches us to always remember to mention Allah’s name before doing any task, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions and take responsibility for them, as we are accountable for all our deeds in this life and in the hereafter. We must strive to do good deeds in order to please Allah and gain His blessings in this life and hereafter.
