It was narrated that Abu Barzah said: "Abu Bakr got infuriated with a man, and I said: 'Who is he, O Khalifah of the Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Why?' I said: 'So that I might strike his neck (killing him) if you tell me to'. He said: 'Would you really do that?' I said: 'Yes. By Allah,' the seriousness of what I said took away his anger. Then he said: 'That is not for anyone after Muhammad SAW'."
It also teaches us not to act rashly in moments of rage or distress but rather think through our actions before taking them so as not to cause any harm or hurt anyone else in any way whatsoever. We must always remember that we are accountable for all our actions before Allah SWT on Judgement Day and thus strive to do good deeds only throughout our lives so as not to regret them later on in life when it is too late for repentance or forgiveness from Allah SWT .
