This hadith is about treating children equally and fairly. It was narrated from An-Nu'man bin Bashir that his father brought him to the Messenger of Allah and said he had given his son a slave as a present. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked if he had given presents to all of his children or just one, implying that it would be unfair if only one child received something special while the others did not. He then advised the father to take back the gift so that all of his children could receive an equal amount of gifts.
