Freeing slaves who are believers regardless of their race or ethnicity; recognizing one's Lord and His messenger; respecting all people regardless of race or ethnicity; being just towards others; standing up against oppression or injustice in any form .

This hadith is about the importance of freeing slaves who are believers. It was narrated by Ash-Sharid bin Suwaid Ath-Thaqafi that he came to the Messenger of Allah and said that his mother left a will saying that a slave should be freed on her behalf. He asked if it would suffice if he freed his Nubian slave girl, and the Prophet said to bring her there. When she arrived, he asked her who her Lord was and she answered Allah, then he asked who he was and she answered The Messenger of Allah. After this exchange, the Prophet told him to set her free as she was a believer. This hadith teaches us that slavery is wrong and those who are believers should be set free from it regardless of their race or ethnicity. It also shows us how important it is for us to recognize our Lord as well as His messenger in order for us to be truly free from any form of oppression or injustice in this world.
