Gratitude to Allah for Diverting Insults

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was grateful to Allah for diverting the insults and curses of Quraish away from him.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "Look at how Allah diverts the insults and curses of Quraish from me. They insult 'Mudhammam' and curse 'Mudhammam' -but I am Muhammad".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be grateful to God in all circumstances

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah tells us about the gratitude of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He was thankful to Allah for diverting the insults and curses of Quraish away from him. This is a lesson that we can learn from this hadith, that no matter how difficult our situation may be, we should always be grateful to Allah. We should remember that whatever happens in our lives is ultimately due to His will and mercy. We should also remember that even if people insult us or curse us, it does not mean they are right or have any power over us; rather it is only through the grace of Allah that these things do not affect us. Therefore, we must always remain thankful and express our gratitude towards Him in all circumstances.
