Have trust in your spouse; show compassion and mercy towards others; grant concessions when needed; understand one another's feelings.

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's commandment for a woman to breastfeed an adult man in order to dispel her husband's protective jealousy. In this hadith, it is narrated that 'Aishah said that the Messenger of Allah commanded the wife of Abu Hudhaifah to breastfeed Salim, who was Abu Hudhaifah's freed slave. Rabi'ah then added that this was a concession granted to Salim. This hadith teaches us that breastfeeding can be used as an effective solution for protective jealousy and also shows us how merciful and compassionate the Prophet Muhammad was towards his followers by granting them concessions when needed. It also teaches us about how important it is for husbands and wives to have trust in each other so they can avoid feeling jealous or suspicious of one another.
