EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of having faith in God and striving for His cause. It was narrated by Abu Dharr who asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which deed was best. The Prophet ﷺ replied that belief in God and striving for His cause are two of the most important deeds a person can do. Having faith means believing without doubt that God is one, He has no partner or equal, He is all-powerful and all-knowing, He created everything from nothingness, He will never die or be destroyed, etc. Striving for His cause means doing good deeds such as helping others who are less fortunate than us or spreading knowledge about Islam to those who don’t know it yet. These two deeds are essential if we want to live a life pleasing to God and gain rewards from Him on Judgment Day.
