The Oneness of Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad was commanded to fight people until they accept the oneness of Allah and that those who do so will be safe from him, except for their rights, and their reckoning will be with Allah.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah (there is non worthy or worship except Allah). Whoever says it, his life and his property are safe from me, except for its right, and his reckoning will be with Allah".

QUICK LESSONS:
Accepting the oneness of Allah

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of accepting the oneness of God. It tells us that Prophet Muhammad was commanded by God to fight people until they accept this truth. Those who do so are promised safety from him, except for any wrongdoings they may have committed which must still be accounted for in front of God. This hadith teaches us that it is important to recognize and accept the oneness of God in order to live a life free from fear and worry as our judgement lies only with Him. We should also strive to ensure justice is served by holding ourselves accountable for our actions before Him.
