The Significance of Performing Sai Once

SUMMARY: The Prophet and his Companions only performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah once.

Jabir said: "The Prophet and his Companions only performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah once".

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform religious rituals with mindfulness, intentionality and sincerity.
EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by Jabir, the Prophet Muhammad and his Companions only performed a ritual known as sai once between two hills called As-Safa and Al Marwah. This ritual is part of the Hajj pilgrimage, which is one of the five pillars of Islam. During this ritual, pilgrims walk seven times back and forth between these two hills in order to demonstrate their faith in Allah. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful when performing religious rituals; even if it is something that we have done many times before, we should still take care to do it properly each time. It also reminds us that our actions can have a great impact on our spiritual lives; even small acts such as walking seven times between two hills can be meaningful if done with intentionality and sincerity.
