Death While in Ihram

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed to not cover the head of a man who died while in Ihram and to not bring any perfume near him.

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: "The she-Camel of a ma in Ihram broke his neck and killed him. He was brought to the Messenger of Allah and he said 'Wash him and shroud him, and do not cover his head, or bring any perfume near him, for he will be raised reciting Talbiyah'." (Sahih) Dies
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ وَقَصَتْ رَجُلاً مُحْرِمًا نَاقَتُهُ فَقَتَلَتْهُ فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ اغْسِلُوهُ وَكَفِّنُوهُ وَلاَ تُغَطُّوا رَأْسَهُ وَلاَ تُقَرِّبُوهُ طِيبًا فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يُهِلُّ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about death while in a state of Ihram. The Prophet Muhammad instructed that when someone dies while in this state, they should be washed and shrouded but their head should not be covered nor any perfume brought near them. He also said that the deceased will be raised reciting Talbiyah which is an Islamic prayer. This hadith teaches us to respect those who have passed away and to follow the instructions given by Prophet Muhammad even if we don't understand why it must be done. It also reminds us of our mortality and encourages us to live our lives according to Islamic teachings so that we can die with peace of mind knowing that we have done what was expected from us as Muslims.
