Kindness Rewarded

SUMMARY: A man was rewarded for his kindness and mercy towards a thirsty dog.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "A man saw a dog eating mud from (the severity of) thirst. So, that man took a shoe (and filled it) with water and kept on pouring the water for the dog till it quenched its thirst. So Allah approved of his deed and made him to enter Paradise".

Show kindness towards all living creatures

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the reward of kindness and mercy. It tells us that Allah rewards those who show mercy to others, even if it is an animal. The hadith narrates the story of a man who saw a dog suffering from thirst and decided to help it by pouring water into its mouth with his shoe until it quenched its thirst. As a result, Allah approved of his deed and made him enter paradise as a reward for his kind act. This hadith teaches us that we should always be kind to all living creatures, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem, because Allah will reward us for our good deeds in this life or in the hereafter.
