The Benefits of Hajj and 'Umrah

SUMMARY: Performing Hajj and 'Umrah consecutively can remove poverty and sin.

Ibn 'abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Perform Hajj and 'Umrah consecutively; for they remove poverty and sin as the bellows removes impurity from iron'.''

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform Hajj & 'Umra consecutively with intention of pleasing Allah SWT
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that performing the rituals of Hajj and ‘Umrah consecutively can help to remove poverty and sin from our lives. This is similar to how a bellows removes impurities from iron. Just as the bellows blows air into the iron to clean it out, so too does performing these two rituals blow away our sins and poverty. It is important for us to remember that although these two rituals are beneficial in helping us become better people, they should not be done with any intention other than pleasing Allah SWT. We must also remember that we must strive to do good deeds even when we are not performing these two rituals in order for them to be effective in our lives.
