QUICK LESSONS:
Have an intention before going to bed at night when intending on fasting.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of intention when it comes to fasting. It was narrated from Hafsah that the Prophet said, “Whoever does not have the intention of fasting from the night before, then there is no fast for him”. This means that if a person does not intend to fast before going to bed at night, then their fast will not be valid and they will not receive any reward for it. This hadith teaches us that we must always have a sincere intention when performing any act of worship so that our deeds are accepted by Allah and we can receive His blessings in return.
