Sahih al-Bukhari 1760, 1761 (Book 25, Hadith 237) #1688
Allowing Menstruating Women to Leave Mecca

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) allowed menstruating women to leave Mecca after performing Tawaf-al-Ifada.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: A menstruating woman was allowed to leave Mecca if she had done Tawaf-al-Ifada. Tawus (a subnarrator) said from his father, "I heard Ibn 'Umar saying that she would not depart. Then later I heard him saying that the Prophet had allowed them (menstruating women) to depart".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for justice and fairness in our dealings with others.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's ruling on allowing menstruating women to leave Mecca after performing a ritual called Tawaf-al-Ifada. This ritual is part of the Hajj pilgrimage, which is an important religious practice for Muslims. The hadith states that initially, Ibn 'Umar said that these women would not be allowed to depart, but later he heard from the Prophet Muhammad himself that they were allowed to do so. This shows us how important it was for the Prophet Muhammad to ensure justice and fairness in his rulings, even if it meant changing his initial opinion on a matter. It also teaches us that we should always strive for justice and fairness in our dealings with others, no matter what our initial opinion may be on a certain issue or situation.
