QUICK LESSONS:
Take your time when preparing for something important; Be mindful; Take care of yourself spiritually; Join Shaban with Ramdan if possible .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the practice of fasting during the Islamic month of Ramadan. It was narrated from Abu Salamah and Umm Salamah that the Messenger of Allah never fasted two consecutive months but he used to join Shaban to Ramadan. This means that he would start fasting in the month before Ramadan which is called Shaban. By doing this, it allowed him to prepare for the upcoming month of fasting in a gradual way rather than suddenly starting on the first day of Ramadan. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful when preparing for something important and take our time so we can do it properly. We should also be aware that even though Prophet Muhammad was a great man with many responsibilities, he still took time out for himself in order to prepare spiritually for his obligations as a Muslim.
