Hastening with Janazah

SUMMARY: The Prophet encourages people to hasten with the Janazah, as it is either taking them towards something good or relieving them from an evil.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah, who attributed it to the Prophet: "Hasten with the Janazah, for if it was righteous then your are taking it toward something good, and if it was otherwise, then it is an evil of which you are relieving yourselves".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be prepared for death, fulfill your duties promptly and efficiently when someone passes away .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith encourages people to hasten with the funeral prayer, known as Janazah in Arabic. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah and attributed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said that if the deceased was righteous then they are taking it towards something good, and if not then they are relieving themselves from an evil. This hadith teaches us that we should always be prepared for death and not delay in performing our duties when someone passes away. We should also be mindful of our own actions so that when we pass away, we will have done enough good deeds to take us towards something good in the afterlife.
