The Superiority of Prayer Before Fajr

SUMMARY: The two rak'ahs of prayer before Fajr are better than the entire world and all its contents.

It was narrated from Aishah that : The Prophet said: "The two rak'ahs (before) Fajr are better than this world and everything in it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray 2 rak’ahs before fajr every day

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of prayer before dawn, known as Salat al-Fajr. It emphasizes that these two rak’ahs are more valuable than anything in this world. This is because prayer is an act of worship that brings one closer to Allah and His blessings. It also teaches us to prioritize our spiritual life over worldly matters. We should strive to make time for prayer even if it means sacrificing some sleep or other activities in order to do so.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that these two rak’ahs are better than anything else we could do with our time on earth, including material possessions or worldly pursuits such as fame and power. He was reminding us that nothing can compare with the rewards we receive from Allah when we dedicate ourselves to Him through acts of worship like prayer.
