The Prophet's Prayer Routine

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would not miss four rak'ahs before Zuhr and two rak'ahs before Fajr.

It was narrated from Ibrahim bin Muhammad that: He heard his father narrating that he heard Aishah say: "The Messenger of Allah would not omit four rak'ahs before Zuhr and two rak'ahs before Fajr.
أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لاَ يَدَعُ أَرْبَعًا قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا الصَّوَابُ عِنْدَنَا وَحَدِيثُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُمَرَ خَطَأٌ وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the prayer routine of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He would never miss four rak’ahs before Zuhr and two rak’ahs before Fajr. This is a reminder for us to be consistent in our prayers and to make sure that we do not forget or neglect them. It is important for us to remember that prayer is one of the five pillars of Islam and it should be taken seriously as it brings us closer to Allah SWT.
