Embracing Nature in Sermons

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to lean against a palm tree trunk while delivering his sermon, and when the Minbar was made, the people of the Masjid heard a sound like a groaning camel until he came down and embraced it.

Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "When the Messenger of Allah delivered the khutbah, he used to lean against a palm tree trunk that formed one of the pillars of the Masjid. When the Minbar was made and he sat down on it, that pillar made a sound like the groaning of a camel, which the people of the Masjid heard, until the Messenger of Allah came down and embraced it, then it fell silent".
