Sahih al-Bukhari 1648 (Book 25, Hadith 129) #1580
The Obligation of Tawaf Between Safa and Marwa

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that the practice of Tawaf between Safa and Marwa is a religious ritual that was practiced during the Pre-Islamic period, but it was made an obligation by Allah in the Quran.

Narrated 'Asim: I asked Anas bin Malik: "Did you use to dislike to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa?" He said, "Yes, as it was of the ceremonies of the days of the Pre-Islamic period of ignorance, till Allah revealed: 'Verily! (The two mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwa are among the symbols of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who performs the pilgrimage to the Ka'ba, or performs 'Umra, to perform Tawaf between them'. " (2:158)

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform tawaful between safa and marwah as part of pilgrimage or umrah according to what is revealed in surah baqarah verse 158 in quran .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains how Allah made it obligatory for Muslims to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa as part of their pilgrimage to Mecca. Before this, this practice was done as part of pre-Islamic rituals, but with the revelation of (2:158) Surah Baqarah verse 158 in the Quran, it became an obligation for all Muslims. This hadith also teaches us about how Allah can make something obligatory even if it wasn't before. It also shows us that we should always be open to change and accept what Allah has commanded us to do.
