Sunan an-Nasai 885 (Book 11, Hadith 10) #15493
Praise of Prayer

SUMMARY: The hadith is about a man who recited a prayer and was praised by the Prophet for it, with twelve angels rushing to take up his words.

It was narrated from Abdullah bin Umar that: A man stood behind the Prophet of Allah and said: "Allahu Akbaru kabira wal-hamdu Lillahi kathira, wa subhan-Allahi bukratan was asila (Allah is Most Great and much praise be to Allah and glorified be Allah at the beginning and end of the day)". The Prophet of Allah said: "Who spoke these words?" A man said: "I did, O Prophet of Allah (SWT)". He said: "Twelve angels rushed (to take them up)".
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدٌ، - هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ - عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَامَ رَجُلٌ خَلْفَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً ‏.‏ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ‏"‏ مَنْ صَاحِبُ الْكَلِمَةِ ‏"‏ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَنَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ لَقَدِ ابْتَدَرَهَا اثْنَا عَشَرَ مَلَكًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the power of prayer and its importance in our lives. It tells us that when we pray, we should do so with sincerity and devotion, as Allah will reward us for it. The Prophet's response to the man's prayer shows us how much Allah values our prayers and how He rewards those who pray sincerely. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us that even if we are alone in our prayers, Allah will still hear them and reward us accordingly. Additionally, this hadith also speaks of the angels who rush to take up our words when we pray sincerely; thus showing us that even if no one else is around to witness or appreciate our prayers, there are still heavenly beings taking note of them.

Overall, this hadith serves as an encouragement for believers to continue praying regularly with sincerity and devotion as they can be sure that their efforts will not go unnoticed by Allah or His angels.
