Praying on Time and Joining Others in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised people to pray on time and to join those who are praying outside of the prayer time, making it a voluntary prayer.

It was narrated that 'Abdullih said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'You may live to meet people who will be offering the prayer outside its (prayer) time. If you meet them, then offer the prayer on time, then pray with them and make that a voluntary prayer"'.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of praying on time. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised people to pray at the designated times and if they come across someone who is offering their prayers outside of its designated time, they should join them in prayer and make it a voluntary prayer. This hadith teaches us that we should be punctual when it comes to our religious obligations such as salat, but also that we should be kind towards others by joining them in their prayers even if they are not offered at the right time. It also encourages us to help each other out with our religious duties so that we can all benefit from them together.
